"My crew is starting to swing around to pick me up when El Raton, in perfect control slides up beside me and asks if I would like to get picked up. They had already doused their chute and stopped beside me. I took their offer and got back into a boat (trying to stop a lightweight trimaran next to someone when it is blowing in the mid-20s is not easy so I figured I would not turn down El Raton. My crew ably finished the race on Papillon, only one boat behind El Raton! And I had many adventures with El Raton, but that is their story to tell. Larry- I have been using Samson's Ultra Lite. It is a non water absorbing, light weight line, and doesn't noticbly stretch. I've been using the line for the last season and a 1/2. It does wear slightly faster then other lines right where the winch drum contacts the line. I like it though and will use it when I replace them agian. Check the link out you will find the Ultra Lite at the bottom. I also use the 3/8" as it is easier for the trimmer to hold when the breeze is up. http://www.apsltd.com/Tree/d3000/e846.asp
