Subject: Nationals Report

I'm with Jason. Let's here some of the details from nationals. Isn't there usually a class meeting around this time as well? Was there any talk of rule changes for the class? Specifically, spinnaker material changes.

:: Any chance us cyber spectators could get the low-down on
:: the Nationals? Looks like it was one for the books from
:: the pictures. I'd be interested to know a) that no one
:: was hurt on Exocet (what a crunch) b) how the Regatta
:: Pro experience went and c) What were Attitude
:: Adjustments keys to success (Jeff Thorpe wheeling it
:: probably didn't hurt, but what a setup on that thing! Is
:: there any teak left on it?).
::
:: Have to admit all of the below-deck, double-ended
:: controls on AA make me nostalgic for dinghy racing. I
:: also noticed based upon some of the pictures (which are
:: superb, by the way), that they seem to part of the
:: "traveller-up, twist-off" contingent. On the one shot
:: (805.jpg), the jib car looks pulled in farther inboard
:: than it would be with the stock track, sheet eased, main
:: traveller on centerline (probably "up" for the
:: conditions) and mainsheet "eased." More and more, it
:: seems like this is the way to go on the Express. Also
:: looks like one of Quantum's new Fusion M's up front....
