Subject: Reefing Lines
Info: (26915 views) Posted: Tuesday 1-23-07 10:15:41 PM
Standard e27 first reef is headboard to the hounds . . . about 4 feet I think. Call Steve at Hogin . . . he can do the mod - 415/523-4388.

Desperado has a reef in its primary ocean main.

In 25 years of e27 racing, I've used a reef, racing in the ocean, once . . . with 4 outboard on the rail. Also, for short handed cruising.

Reefing can redefine handling on the boat when needed . . . but, always change down the jib first. mb

:: particular advice on how to set it up (for short-handed
:: races)
::
:: Much appreciated!
