Subject: bilge pump rebuild/replacement
Info: (25578 views) Posted: Saturday 7-19-08 09:15:06 AM
Hi:

I recently replaced the 400 on Desperado. They go every couple of years where the boot microtears. West Marine of Whale Point only stock 500's . . . but can order 400 overnight.

Mike

:: I believe West Marine has a rebuild kit for this. There
:: are two listed on west marine. Model 400 and 500. 400 is
:: for the 1" ports and 500 is the 1.5" ports. Here are the
:: part numbers for the rebuild kits for each:
::
:: model 400 - 142737

:: model 500 - 142745
::
:: Hope that helps.

:: :: The bilge pump on #111 has a bad valve and won't develop
:: :: any suction. I would like to replace it or rebuild but
:: :: can't seem to find the exact replacement. The pump
:: :: itself says it's a Guzzler but I can't seem to find any
:: :: model # on it. Googled it and didn't find anything that
:: :: looked like it would mount in the current location with
:: :: the same handle cut out. Any help would be much
:: :: appreciated. Thanks
