Joost: I don't believe there are any Express 27s in Europe. There are two in Canada, 40 or so in San Francisco, about 20 in the Great Lakes area and the remainder scattered around the U.S. The boat has been out of production since 1986, but I have heard strong rumors that Express Boats of San Francisco is working at getting the Express 27 back into production. It's worth waiting for. It sails much faster and better than a J-24. It's 3 feet longer and several hundred pounds lighter (2450#). And the construction and materials were far superior. The boat is ultra light but very strong.
