I concur with Russ's assessment. I've only had my Honda for a few months, but I'm pleased with its performance. I'm considering modifing the fuel system, to splice in an external fuel feed for added convience. Currently, I refuel the motor by hanging it from the base of the hatch. The long shaft will stand up straight and stable. I havn't tried to refuel over the transom yet, but with one of the new "no spill" refueling devices out there, it souldn't be too tricky.

>>I bought one of these about a year ago and am pretty pleased. You will definitely need the long shaft. At 3/4 throttle the motor will push the boat along at 5 knots into a light breeze, and run for a little over an hour on the 1 quart integral tank. If the wind is blowing (20-25) the motor won’t do much, but I figure that’s when the sails should be up anyway. I am very pleased with mine but have three minor gripes. 1) It tends to be a little on the noisy side (but most engines are). 2) You have to hang off the back of the boat to add fuel if you want to motor for more than 1 hour. 3) It’s very sensitive to being a little low on oil, and it’s impossible to check when you are under way. This last point isn’t a problem if you only use the motor for 1-2 hours which is plenty for getting you to and from most races. But in my honest opinion it would not be a good motor if you plan to use it for any extended motoring.
