Does the PHRF rating take the 880 pound weight limit into consideration?

The only good reason I see for increasing the weight limit for distance races is to make the boats more competitive with other classes.

Obviously there is an advantage to having a small driver..but so what? get yourself a small driver.

there are so many classes where it is an advantage to bigger no matter what position...and even classes where it is good to have a small driver it is really hard to find big crew that likes to take orders or knows how to move their big weight properly. When you are bigger you have more control over where the weight is and that is a huge advantage. You are also usually stronger when you are bigger. also an advantage.

Big people run this sport and the world too. probably will never change.
