Lewmar Size 60 Medium Profile $450 Ships for $33.09 Estimated arrival Jan 18 - Jan 24 Details Condition Used - like new Lewmar SZ 60 Medium Profile flange base hatch.

Anodized aluminum frame with smoked acrylic. Never mounted but out of its original packing.

Local pick up or Shipping available at buyers expense.

::
:: I replaced the glazed hatch glass by HATCHMASTER in
:: Connecticut.
::
:: I sent the hatch, they replaced with a new one with new
:: gasket.

:: No leaks after that. Cost a little less than $500.

:: FYI

:: Yoshi
::
::
::
:: :: Has anyone found a modern replacement for the original
:: :: Lewmar hatch on our boats?
::
:: :: Thanks
::
:: :: Dan
:: ::
:: :: :: If you have the original Lewmar hatch, you should
:: :: :: consider fixing it.
:: :: ::
:: :: :: Depends on if you turn it around (so it opens facing
:: :: :: aft). The newer lewmar hatches will not open facing aft
:: :: :: (at least as far as I can tell) because they hit the
:: :: :: slight rise just in front of the hatch hole. This causes
:: :: :: them to break (cracks the frame and lexan). If anyone
:: :: :: has found a solution for this, please chime in.
:: :: ::
:: :: :: If you leave the hatch opening forward, then it will
:: :: :: stop by hitting the mast and you won't have any problem
:: :: :: replacing with a newer Lewmar hatch. The newer hatches
:: :: :: fit the hole fine, though the bolt holes are in
:: :: :: different places.
:: :: ::
:: :: :: New hatches are expensive, and a chunk of Lexan from Tap
:: :: :: Plastic is probably not that much. I don't know what it
:: :: :: would take to get the rubber seal, though...
:: :: ::

:: :: ::
:: :: ::
:: :: :: :: I have a leaky seal and lots of crazing in my lewmar
:: :: :: :: hatch.
:: :: ::
:: :: :: :: Replace it or fix it? I'm feeling lazy. Anyone has a
:: :: :: :: part # to replace/repair?
