Frank Poupore's Ruby My Dear #25 and Scott Sorbie's Piper #111 from Detroit and Bill Zehner's Navigator #44 from Florida are racing in the "Level" 123 class in the St Petersburg NOOD Feb 14-16. The "level" class also includes 3 Tripp 26s, one Abbott 33, one J30 and a brand new Elliott770 from Oklahoma where the boat carries a PHRF rating of 111. Good luck to Frank and Scott and Bill! The two Detroit boats are using their masthead spinnakers in an effort to level the playing field. Zehner may also be carrying a bigger kite. Last I heard he was looking into getting one.
