Subject: Recommendations for a knotmeter?
Info: (27596 views) Posted: Tuesday 1-23-07 06:25:36 PM
If you do not want to replace the exsisting hull fittings, I would suggest that you contact Airmar (sp?). They have helped me with several boats and with this very same issue. Airmar produces sensor/transducer parts as throughull fittings for many manufacturers. They were able to replace a old KVH transducer to fit a COMNAV Nexus fitting on my Melges that I had given up hope of finding a transducer that would fit the old KVH throughhull. Once you have an idea what transducers will fit the throughhull you may be able to figure what manufacturers you can purchase to fit. Tom

:: Hi -
::
:: I need to replace the knotmeter on Elise - do you have
:: any recommendation for a good instrument set. I don't
:: know if there is a standard throughhull diameter, but
:: would love not to have to drill holes into the hull...If
:: it could be just drop and replace, it would be fabulous.
::
:: Any pointers appreciated!
::
:: Thanks!

:: Nat
