We race in the Hawaiian Islands and are home ported out of Lahaina on the island of Maui. We have two PHRF ratings. Racing in Oahu we rate 126 and are competitive because the average wind is strong and the fleet is large. There is very little wind in the waters off Lahaina, due to the mountain wind shadow. We have a small five boat fleet (J-80, J-24, E-5.9, etc. Here we rate 135 and are well matched for the fleet and wind. 135 is about the average of the different ratings in the PHRF book.
