Depending on the PHRF penalty you want to race with, you can optimize your kite for your maximum benefit in the region where you are racing.

The variables we have here are spin pole length * 1.8 for girth and max hoist or max luff length. Always the greater of, determines your calculation.

Because I have the only e27 here, I went max height up my mast and shortened my spin pole and therefore my girth. With these adjustments, I take a 9 PHRF hit which is an excellent trade-off. My standard PHRF e27 hit with the standard set-up was 6 PHRF.

With the masthead, the boat goes much better in virtually all conditions and is much more fun to sail. I would recommend this highly, and possibly the one designs should consider this. This really powers up the boat big time.

With a small reacher in light air, the boat really heats up in the tighter angles and stays filled virtually all the time - very fun.

Go for it, you'll love it.

Also I put on runners in the standard slots and this also works great.

Good luck.
