Subject: Trailering Weight and Tow Vehicle
Info: (18042 views) Posted: Wednesday 4-23-14 02:08:03 PM
You should be good. I know "Dan the man" towed his e27 back from Santa Barbara several times with his V6 Nissan pickup.

All up the e27 weighs 2450. Trailer adds maybe 1000lbs. You shouldn't have more than 500lbs worth of gear on her I would hope. This still gives you a 100lbs to spare. Just take it slow and you will be fine.

Let us know which boat you are looking at/or get.

Welcome to the class!

Cheers, Jason

:: Good Morning all,
::
:: I am curious if anyone happens to know the tow weight of
:: the E27 with trailer and an average of gear. I might be
:: joining the class but my tow vehicle is an xterra with a
:: 5,000lb tow rating.
::
:: I am just wondering if buying an express would also mean
:: buying a truck. Since I would likely dry sail the boat
:: and not tow it out of town(once it made it to the yard)
:: it would be an expensive waste to have to get a tow
:: vehicle too.
