Subject: Windows in sails

Jason,

Thanks for the info. On your genoa window, did you just replace a laminate panel with a triangular piece of clear plastic, or did you insert a rectangular window which cuts across the panel seams? Kame recommends the latter.

Thanks

Dan

:: Dan,
::
:: We have done a lot of testing with the placements of
:: windows at UK sails. We placed a vision window in the
:: top of the main so the trimmer can see the position of
:: the top spreader in relation to the headsail. This keeps
:: the crew on the rail while trimming the sail.
::
:: We also put a big window in the Genoa so the foredeck
:: can see crossing traffic.
::
:: I believe these are the only two windows that we
:: currently install on our new sails.
::
:: Does Kami have any recommendations on where to put the
:: windows?
::

:: -Jason
