I recently added Wichard hanks instead of the traditional spring loaded style. This allows one handed removal and I bet they won't cake up with deposits as much. Tip I learned from Andrew Evans' Single Handed Booklet, SSS website.

:: Hanks are better in light air..and they don't let the
:: sail fall over like a headfoil will..But are a pain
:: doing head sail changes.
::
:: :: I like hanks for short handed sailing, but for crewed
:: :: races, I do miss having a head foil so I'm not bald for
:: :: sail changes.

:: :: :: I have seen genoas with both hanks and headfoil. Just
:: :: :: wondering what the advantages are and which one is
:: :: :: better.

:: :: :: Thanks
