:: :: IDEAL!..

The weight limit at 880 lbs is ideal. Lighter weight equals lower loads on the boat. I've raced with 1,000+ on the boat (ocean, years ago). The boat isn't as fun. Feels like a destroyer upwind, slower downwind. It's too crowded and at least one crew is just a lump on the rail. The only time the boat is measurably faster with lots of weight is at the high end of the No. 1 and that's when the loads on the boat and rig are really high. You are wearing out your No. 1 really fast.

I'm one of the "bigger" drivers and I am at no disadvantage against small skippers and "bigger" crews. (If your crew is hiking significantly harder than the driver it's probably because your lifelines are too loose.)
