Subject: CHAINPLATE SUPPORT
Info: (14821 views) Posted: Sunday 10-31-04 09:40:49 AM

INSIDE THE CABIN I HAVE A 5/16 WIRE RUNNING FROM THE AFTER LOWER CHAINPLATE TO THE SEMI-BULKHEAD AT THE FOREWARD END OF THE SEAT. THERE IS A LIFELINE STYLE ADJUSTER FOR TENSIONING.IT LOOKS LIKE ORIGONAL EQUIPMENT.

QUESTION; SHOULD THERE BE A LOT OF TENSION,A LITTLE TENSION, OR DOES EVERYBODY REMOVE THIS WIRE AND THROW IT AWAY?

REPLIES WILL BE APPRECIATED AS WERE THOSE TO MY MOTOR MOUNT QUESTION. I AM A NEW OWNER(HULL 53)AND THERE AREN'T MANY OTHER E-27S TO LOOK AT AROUND HERE (I WET SAIL OUT OF SEQUIM BAY,WA &, NO, THAT WASN'T ME AT FRIDAY HARBOR A WHILE BACK)
