Scott,

I don't know if I can give you an actual numbers load breaking strength that you need to get, but I do have a logical answer for you. I would suggest that you look at some of the top boats to see what size and type of lines and cleats they are using. I can tell you that I have not had a problem with cleats or lines breaking on any of the boats that I have sailed on.
