Subject: repair/replace pole
Info: (11698 views) Posted: Thursday 2-5-04 11:58:23 PM
A few years ago we had a bent spin. pole on swamp donkey. We took the ends off, chucked the pole and delivered the ends to Svendsens Boat Works in Alameda. They attached the ends to a new extrusion, and delivered a stong and great pole. Call Sean at 510-864-8403 (work) and he'll take care of it. (oh, the price was very reasonable...) p.s. we also took care of making our own bridle instead of having them do it... we used spectra- light, strong and low stretch.

:: Looking for some advice on repair/replacing the
:: spinnaker pole. I have a slight bend where the pole went
:: into the forestay. It's still usable, but I want to
:: replace the aluminum tubing or extrude it. I've heard
:: Svendson's in Alameda can extrude. Else, any
:: recommendations for purchasing tubing in the Bay Area
:: would be helpful. Also, I think I've seen the
:: instructions on making a shot gun release mechanism. Was
:: that in the Express owners manual? - Thanks!
