Subject: Spinnaker Pole Storage - on boom?
Info: (22245 views) Posted: Saturday 5-7-11 06:01:12 PM
Does the added weight spoil mainsail shape in light air? Do you know need a bigger boom kicker?

:: We use this system also, as Ralph says it's easier to
:: use overall. The only thing is that your bowperson will
:: need to pay attention to the pole while it's stored in
:: the boom because it will have a tendency to spin while
:: in there causing the pole gear to get tangled.
::
:: Your local sailmaker can make one for you.

::
:: :: It's the only way to go. Quicker sets. No more jib
:: :: sheets under the pole on take downs.
:: ::
:: :: :: I see in some of the photos that people are storing the
:: :: :: spinnaker pole on the boom.
:: :: ::
:: :: :: Is this the preferred method and also where do you buy /
:: :: :: make the storage bag for the pole.
:: :: ::
:: :: :: Thanks,
:: ::
