Subject: The Weight Limit is Up for Discussion
Info: (27110 views) Posted: Tuesday 1-8-08 09:00:52 PM
Hi Larry & Everyone Else:

Exactly! Turning away people hurts exposure to the fleet and makes the effort of sustaining crew over the season series much harder to administer.

I think where the oppossing coalition left this discuission late last year is on the table for more discussion after the season gets going this year.

Recall turning the tables on this weight limit discussion for some sort of improvement, rather than doing nothing at all, is only 4 to 5 votes away based on the limited sample of voters this last vote.

Mike

:: Chris,
::
:: With all due respect, this is the forum for discussion.
:: If you don't want to read or think about it, perhaps you
:: should not click on the issue. Also, where does the
:: "ideal weight" label come it. I still hold that the
:: original weight was 1000 lbs. I think Mike's proposal of
:: 980 lbs. is very reasonable.
::
:: This issue will not go away and airing of it is, IMHO,
:: very helpful and productive. If those of us that favor
:: the change just fold up our tents those who may either
:: not understand the issue or be on the fence will not
:: have the opportunity to hear the arguments in favor and
:: against.
::
:: That said, you are certainly entitled to your opinion as
:: long as our prerogative to use our voices on this forum
:: is not thwarted.
::
:: Best regards to all
