Subject: What's your PHRF number?
Info: (12081 views) Posted: Tuesday 1-13-15 05:05:56 PM
The Express is a 132 (129 OD configuration with the penalty pole) in San Francisco bay. Which I get in a place that has an average of 15-25 knots. But I'm finding the number is 144 throughout North America with a few exceptions like Detroit(144 -6 for masthead kite 138). My question is what does the Express 27 rate at your club or fleet and what are your average wind and sea conditions. Also does it sail to the number? Before someone hits me with the good old screw handicap racing sail one design I plan to in the bay but at my local club I need a number. The average breeze is 8-12 flat water.
