Tried this on the boat yesterday: a crew member is a 49er sailor that just happened to have a kite that he did not want. Well, we tried it on the Express rig set up like a conventional chute....perfect fit. We did this in about 8-10kts of wind and found that the boat was much faster in the marginal chute angles or a #1. The sail is cut rather flat and is a little smaller than the conventionsl express 27 spin. I guess you could call it a code 0 flown off the pole....nice for a distance race maybe??
Regards,
Vin
