:: Hi,
::
:: I am looking at removing the toe rails from the last 1/3
:: of the boat as most boats have done .. still keeping the
:: forward 2/3 to keep the crew on board :)
::
:: I was wondering what people are doing for lifting the
:: boat out of the water when the toerails are removed? I
:: have a sling to the keel bolts but the alignment to the
:: hole in the top of the cabin is slightly aft to balance
:: the boat with straps to the toe rails.
::
:: Any suggestions would be much appreciated.
Don,
We have installed U-Bolt type jib sheet fairleads in front of the primary winches that we use for the balancing strops on Shenanigans. Others have fashioned straps or loops that fit over the cabin top winches. I suspect you will have other ideas posted shortly!
