Ralph,

By pure coincidence, I was walking around a marina in Redwood City (Southern portion of the Bay) yesterday and saw Last Dance tied up to a dock there. As you said, the bow sprit is mounted through a hole in the stem. The boat is also outfitted with a roller furling jib, portholes in the transom (like on the E37), and a Texas flag.

Cheers

Dan

>>There are two boats in the photo gallery with sprits: #s 49 and 50. My comment above applies to #50 not #49. It has (or had) a permanent sprit that retracts through a hole directly under the stem of the boat. Sorry for the mix-up. I have a picture of the sprit on #50 Last Dance in case anybody's interested. (Not recommended!) The picture is a close up of the sprit from the outside. I think that boat is also in the SF Bay area. It was in Galveston.
