There are two extra bolts fore and aft of the two bolts used for the original strap (it is a common design or just my boat?) about a foot apart from each other. I am planning to screw an eye nuts on the bolts and them as the connection point for redundant spectra strap. The idea is that redundant strap will take about 30% of the initial load and will secure the boat if the original strap had failed. Any comments.
