Instruments are legal as long as it is non-integrated. Integrated means a number that is a product of 2 or more measurements. IE- Apparent wind is legal but True Wind is not as it is a number calculated from Apparent WS, Apparent WA, Boat Speed ect... Speed and Course over ground are legal but Current Set and Drift are not as they are calculations of several inputs as well.

The Velociteck is fine. I have one. There are other instruments as well that are 'networked' and are legal as long as they only display raw data and do not calculate any kind of multiple inputs into true data.
