I use a 3.5hp Nissan long shaft on hull#93. Integral fuel tank is good for about 45 minutes at around five knots. Not a great option for long distance, but perfect for occasional use. Weighs 28lbs and has neutral-forward shift.

:: Just another view- I do significant long distance
:: cruising often motoring for 8 hours. I use a mercury 5
:: horse long shaft (with an alternator to charge the
:: batteries). It is heavy to move on and off, but I see no
:: issues with the mount, other than the obnoxious
:: vibration inherent in the mount design. For serious
:: transport I think you need 5 horse, for occasional use 4
:: would be better. Long shaft is a must for any serious
:: use
