Jim,

I don't think we have met and respectfully wish to completely disagree with your statements. Do you own an E27?

David,

An express hasn't gone for 12-14K in many ages especially one that has a brand new set of sails. I don't think you are out of the range asking 16.5K for your boat. I know several people that are currently looking for a good boat to race with the local fleet here in SF. I will send them your way as soon as I get a chance. It would help a lot if you could locate a used trailer to go along with the boat. It will be a lot easier to get it to a new home. That being said, when I bought Exocet in South Carolina it didn't hav ea trailer. I had it shipped to SF for $2700.

Just my two cents as a proud owner of one of these great boats and the Commodre of the fleet!

:: To be honest, that price strikes me as high. A
:: race-ready E27 generally goes for 12k - 14k. Add in the
:: fact that you do not have a trailer, and it should be
:: even less. Of course, in the end a boat is worth what
:: someone will pay for it. But as a rule you cannot expect
:: to recover all of the money put into a boat. I don't
:: think any of us are in this sport because it is a sound
:: financial investment :)

:: :: Hull # 52 Express yo self might be for sale. I have
:: :: found a boat that I didn't think I would find. I have
:: :: $16500.00 in Yo Self with set of new north sales,used 1
:: :: time.3DL 155%,kev main,#3 and new .65 spin. New 2 horse
:: :: honda,new bottom,inline lowers which make a big
:: :: difference,line stoppers,life lines, sheets. Points with
:: :: every thing on bay with the new rake #s. Am thinking of
:: :: selling for $16500.00, no trailer is this a reasonable
:: :: asking price? thanks
