On the straight sale; boat was surveyed and appraised for new to me marine insurance carrier 4 years ago; $19.500 appraisal that does not include the trailer. With trailer, outboard, is insured $28K.

I am negotiable, there are minor hull cosmetic needs, a buff job being the primary one.

This is hull #8 one of two boats Terry Alsberg built for himself. This one sold off and Terry kept Nemo # 9.

Some paint touch up on three repairs; at starboard aft tail quarter one foot square, at starboard winch, one foot square, at leading edge and trailing edge keel. Or paint the whole keel. Boat hit the bottom in 1996. Repair is solid by Kim Desenberg while at North Coast Yachts. Trailing edge of keel high, 1" sq area that is the very trailing edge finish at top.

There has never been bottom paint on this boat. It is virgin out of the mold. If the boat is buffed, and I never do to preserve the gel coat, would look shinny new. Getting the boat wet achieves the same result. The boat is a light blue hull with dark blue boot. There are photos on the site.

The boat does need new nonskid application on deck; $1500 to $2500 depending on who supplies the labor. And needs a new forward hatch but is functional efficeint and water tight.

Has 4 Barient winchess; 2 #18 two speed primaries that are salvage part maintained. 2 #10 cabin tops new like. Both sets contain new stainless machined paul seats from ACME machine shop in Berkeley.

For purchase standing rigging to satisfy insurance requisite. Yet all standing rigging is visibly good and includes a new backstay.

Trailer is capable of short distance but needs new tongue (hydraulic reservoir is gone). All other trailer systems are good; tires, bearings, brakes, hydraulic lines, lights, new refurbished pads, spare tire. For the enthusiast; strip, sandblast and paint will look like new.

Boat includes: New top and bottom rudder bearings.

Newly varnished tiller in excellent shape with new cover

1998 rig with welded sheave box and a real through rig head stay attach. Universal port and starboard halyard arrangement with kevlar halyards in excellent condition.

Classic spreaders with excellent spreader bars.

All slots have internal backing plates which no other rig in the fleet has.

Custom indestructible goose neck

Custom head stay stem fitting with thwart ship under deck backing plate that ties the head stay fitting into the toe rails. The boat is rigged for ocean proof in gale conditions.

All stainless fastners into AL rig treated with anti seize for bolts in engine block, most everything will come apart.

Rig needs minor inspection, take apart base, inspect internal shoe and reapply anti sieze. Boom with no holes, three sheave end boom turining box works but its something I've wanted to replace.

Out haul and reef line that are not Gucci but adequately functional.

Excellent multi part flattening reef with forged LaFrance U shackle.

Vang with Harken blocks; not Gucci but functional

Forestay and shroud hand sewn leather boots.

Harken 4:1 mainsheet system and Harken 3:1 traveler.

Macro backstay adjust and under deck primary (micro) backstay adjust.

Indestructible home made custom hiking stick with through tiller stainless bolt attach and leather work grip. Extra 2nd hiking stick. Suzuki 5 Horse rebuilt bottom end shaft Stock Motor Mount 1 new Hogin main used < 10 times. 1 race worthy Hodges main. 1 new Hogin 155% scrim 3DL like 1 new Sobstad Genesis early production prototype used < 5 times. 1 cruising high end kevler Sobstad (Davant design); used but still a nice shape 1 race worthy Quantum 150% genoa least a season left before retiring to cruising inventory 1 Hogin #3 kevlar scrim, race worthy but not new. 3 (I think) older 3s 1 race worthy dacron #4 1 storm jib Tuff luff head stay foil system 1 .7 Airex Quantum (Davant design) class summer kite used less then 10 times. 1 1.5 oz Sobstad (Davant design) kite absolutely new; used twice. 1 .6 Quantum runner, race worthy with at least a season left before retiring to cruising inventory. 1 .5 Sobstad class shape little used but not new. Spinnaker tail boy staysail. Other miscellaneous sails of all types. Off the top of my head: 4 Harken blocks 3 or 4 Schaeffer track car bloack (boat has Harken traveling system for #1, track for 3 & 4 + outboard track option) 2 Schaeffer snap shackle blocks (for runner turning blocks; ocean, or any other use) 2 Fico snatch blocks 3 9" aluminum winch handles; 2 Harken (I think) and 1 Lewmar 3 spinnaker poles. Boat hook. 1 Fire extinguisher (out of date but it shakes) Excellent and indestructible 4 or 5 star (?) chain lifting sling with oversized kevlar braces and stainless carabineer hooks; with large Nicro Fico stainless top and bottom shackles (from AC boat) and extra large galvanized adapter shackle (top) for hoists with extra large hooks. Horse Shoe life ring Strobe Light Man overboard pole Not new but they meet the standard equipment. 1 ocean danforth anchor 1 racing danforth anchor Anchor chain New like gold nylon 3 strand Anchor line long enough to anchor in Lake Tahoe Newly refurbished gusher in boat bilge pump; at least one handle and maybe two 1 gray plastic pipe pump Off the top of my head: 1 wire rope main halyard with forged LaFrance Shackle 1 Set heavy spinnaker sheets (long 2.5X boat length for back hatch douses if need be with line in the up and over pole up position) 1 Set moderate spinnaker sheets (adequate 1,5 x boat length for front hatch launches/douces. 1 Set kevlar ultra light sheets (long 2x boat length) 1 Set racing jib sheets 1 Set back up jib sheets 2 extra sheets one kevlar one kevlar blend for extra jib or spin sheet. 1 Set extra nice twings with stainless carabineer attach; through baby harkens on rail 1 external kevlar Cunningham stainless hook and hand leather work chaff protection. 1 foreguy 1 topping lift. Runners with kevlar tails Miscellaneous can of bolts and other fasteners Note the boat still has original toe rails because I wont take them off seeing what port starboard T bones have done to other boats. My solution suggestion for the crew is to modify the desk at mid boat similar to the slightly raised deck up too rails design for Santana 35. My stanchion life line arrangement is unique and too my liking but . . . is in good shape . . . but not professional grade. Short height push pits and pull pit in excellent shape.

Gell cell, although probably needs replacement because I am have charged in 2 years. Plastic battery box Very Nice Marine Radio (not a hand held) but mounts above the navigation station

All electrical wiring in the boat in good shape and all lights operable.

Two, one port and one starboard bulkhead mounted compasses; not new but they work, one is in better condition than the other, lights work. Bright work refurbished interior (captains varnish and white enamel) which is among the best maintained in fleet with teak oiled bench seats. Its not a water damaged buoy race boat down below.

Reinforced main bulkhead upgrade that is the most durable overkill in the fleet; The boat structurally built up for ocean racing into gale force.

The boat is absolutely solid.

Chains plate attach is dry and solid shinny hard through bolt holes; might need minor forward fix where fender washers have sunk into the knees by their width; essentially making a sheer ring.

Chain plates do not leak and the deck while needing non skid, has been maintained; no eaks through any fastner holes, and when they did show a leak, over the years, inspected, repaired, resealed as necessary. New white plastic hatch board from TAP Plastic (boat still has wood cabin hand rails, toe rails on the cockpit seats, rails for hatch that everyone is replacing with plastic. . .. many also remove the cabin top hang grabs.

Pipe berths

All V berth boards; the main board including backing, reinforcement and hose clamps for the untested emergency steering system

Also Main V berth board has attach and one burner propane swing stove and pot.

Cushions that are clean but need to go to the dry cleaner and perhaps new foam. Thanks for your interest. Mike
