Hello, I am looking at buying a boat for beer-can racing in the NW. I have narrowed my search to the Express, SC, and J 27. As there is no 1D racing up here for any those, it will be phrf. Can anyone enumerate some of the pros/cons when comparing the Express with a J? The prices are pretty similar. I am a J boat fan, and have never sailed an Express. Are they as fast downwind as the J? Point as well? Any information comparing the 2 would be much appreciated.
