I am going to install an outside track for my #1 and #2. I've decided (for now) not to install a "floating lead". I'd like some advice from someone who has done it. Do I install the track in line with the rear stanchion? It appears that the rear stanchion is in the exact location where I may want to put my fair lead and therefore won't be able to. If so, should I put the track just inside of the stanchion? What about the placement for an outside track for my #3...how far out should it be w/r/t the existing (stock) one?

In Saturday's 3BF, I needed the #1 for the light areas but got caught with it up in 17 knots of wind in Raccoon Straits. I needed to de-power the #1 but couldn't.
