Subject: "Invitational" for Out-of-State Express Afficionados?

I was thinking of you coming down and sailing on one of our fleet boats here some long weekend (one per boat as a "guest") to save you the hassle of dragging your boat down.

We are in the middle of our Berkeley Mid-Winters racing. Last weekend the weather was about 72 degrees with winds from 5 - 14 kts, which is pretty perfect sailing weather, even if we didn't get our expected "ride" downwind. The Berkeley (berkeleyyc.org) Mid-Winters are the 2nd weekend in Nov, Dec, Jan, Feb. Corinthian Mid-Winters are the 3rd weekend in both Jan and Feb. Both the Corinthian Mid-Winters weekends are long weekends I believe (MLKing B-Day and Prez B-Day).

Glad there might be some interest.

:: The Moxie crew would definitely be interested. The only
:: concern I would have is weather in the Siskiyous, there
:: are times when I wouldn't want to be dragging a boat
:: trailer through there. The east route through Bend can
:: be a little better, but also weather dependent.
::
:: The two Hood River boats are typically on their trailers
:: until April. Keep us posted.

:: :: Hi All-
:: ::
:: :: I was wondering what the SF Fleet might think of
:: :: extending an invitational of some sort during our fall
:: :: or witertime issued to some of our northern clime
:: :: fleets?
:: ::
:: :: We could have a "guest" crew weight exemption for
:: :: out-of-town guests.
:: ::
:: :: I don't know what this would look like, but it might be
:: :: fun to see who might come out. We could use the
:: :: Corinthian series (a full weekend of racing over a 3-day
:: :: weekend both January (MLKing B-Day) or February (Prez
:: :: B-Day).
:: ::
:: :: Or perhaps we could use another race venue or create our
:: :: own?
:: ::
:: :: Just a thought.
