There are 2 motor mount configurations aft of the ice box. #1 on earlier hulls like my #8 where the 2x4 post for motor bracket attach extends in height above inside of hull 12" or so. And the #2 configuration where the 2x4 post secures by attachement to the underside of the cockpit. I like that modification to the original but believe it need more glassed in bearing surface under the cockpit.
