The 101 is easier to tow on. no mountain to climb and you won't get run over by endless truks going 70.

:: Vehicle sounds fine. See if the trailer has surge
:: breaks. That will greatly help the downhill portions. If
:: they are non-operative or non-existant then just take it
:: slow in a low gear and you will be fine. Don't ride the
:: breaks whatever you do.
::
:: Looking forward to having another boat back in the
:: fleet. There are only 1 or 2 down there so shouldn't be
:: hard to figure out.

:: :: It's a 2002, V6 with 30K miles on it. I'm just worried
:: :: about coming down the grape vine. It's a pretty big
:: :: hill.
:: ::
:: :: As for the "did you get a new boat" question, I'm taking
:: :: the 5th on that one until she is home...then I will let
:: :: you know...

:: :: :: REally depends on the vehicle. new or old? V6 or I4? I
:: :: :: have seen a little 4 cylinder tow an e27 to LBRW and
:: :: :: back. I have towed my express back from LA with our Jeep
:: :: :: at the time.
:: :: ::
:: :: :: If the vehicle is in good condition it should make it.
:: :: :: The boat and trailer weigh about 4000 lbs.
:: :: ::
:: :: :: So, did you get a new boat?
:: :: ::

:: :: ::
:: :: :: :: Can a Toyota 4-Runner safely tow an Express from LA to
:: :: :: :: SF over the Grape Vine? If not what about coming up 101
:: :: :: :: via Oxnard?
