It would be great to get a post-mortem from Hal when the week is through. Esp on whether or nor the hit for the MH kite was worth it. Frankly, 132 seems punishing considering that they're racing all windward-leewards in that moderate wind range the boat struggles in. Granted, it typically struggles against the longer, big displacement boats that can kill it going to weather and the Key West PHRF committee does a great job of keeping like boats together, but Talisman missed a 3rd by 1 second in Race 3 and 8 seconds in Race 1. They would have corrected over those deficits wo/ the masthead hit, but how much further behind would they have been?? No matter, all in all, I'd say they're doing great, and I bet they're having a blast.

:: After race 4, Hal Neill's e27 Talisman has moved into
:: 3rd place at Key West, behind a Tripp 26 and a B25.
:: Talisman has consistent scores of 4-5-4-3 for a total of
:: 16 points after four races. He is now one point ahead of
:: the J27 Amethyst and six points behind the 2nd place
:: B25. Go Talisman!! Talisman is sailing with a tough PHRF
:: rating of 132 and a masthead kite.
